Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Lima, Peru

Your Voyagetimes expedition begins the moment you land. Your private transfer will take you to Miraflores — Lima’s most vibrant coastal district and your base for the night.

Take some time to settle in, unwind, and ease into the rhythm of Peru after your journey.

In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner — your first shared moment with the group. Great local food, easy conversations, and the start of the journey together.

Day 2

Arrival in the Amazon – Puerto Maldonado

Early morning pickup in Lima and flight to Puerto Maldonado — gateway to the Peruvian Amazon.

On arrival, your expedition team welcomes you. From here, we board a boat and cruise deep into the jungle along the Madre de Dios River.

We arrive at the lodge by afternoon, then head out on a guided walk to Caimán Cocha lagoon, home to black caimans and rich Amazon wildlife. As the sun sets, we experience the rainforest in its most magical light.

Dinner at the lodge followed by a relaxed evening in the heart of the Amazon.

Day 3

Dawn in the Amazon Rainforest

Wake up to the sounds of the Amazon coming alive — birds echoing through the canopy as the jungle slowly stirs.

We follow forest trails through dense rainforest, crossing small bridges and discovering rich wildlife on the way to Lake Apu Victor, a hidden gem surrounded by giant trees and crystal waters.

From the viewpoint, the jungle opens up — parrots, toucans, caimans, turtles, and if we’re lucky, the rare giant river otter.

After lunch at the lodge, we visit Monkey Island on the Madre de Dios River, home to playful monkeys, sloths, and tropical birdlife.

We end the day with a sunset over the jungle and dinner back at the lodge.

Day 4

Sacred Valley Arrival

After a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the Amazon, the morning begins with a final breakfast in nature before we set off toward Cusco.

Upon arrival, we continue into the Sacred Valley, where the altitude slows everything down — giving you space to arrive, breathe, and reset.

You’ll check in at our Sacred Valley retreat, a place designed for stillness and connection with nature. Think panoramic mountain views, glass bungalows, and golden sunsets over the Andes.

As night falls, the sky opens into a field of stars — a quiet, unforgettable moment of pure presence in one of the most powerful landscapes on earth.

Day 5

From Ancient Markets to Mountain Views

Early morning, we head into the Sacred Valley — a landscape carved by history, framed by dramatic mountains and living Andean culture.

We start in Pisac, wandering its vibrant artisan market, before continuing to Urubamba for a relaxed lunch surrounded by valley views. In the afternoon, we explore the powerful ruins of Ollantaytambo, climbing to the upper terraces for panoramic views that feel almost unreal.

As the day slows down, we arrive at your hotel in Urubamba to unwind and reset before dinner in one of the local restaurants nearby.

Day 6

Machu Picchu – The Lost City

Morning train to Aguas Calientes through soaring Andes, jungle valleys, and breathtaking scenery.

Arrive at Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and step into an ancient world suspended in the mountains.

Walk the stone paths of the Inca citadel and take in views where history, mystery, and nature merge into one unforgettable moment.

After the visit, transfer to your hotel in Aguas Calientes to relax and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Day 7

Cusco’s Living History

Morning train from Aguas Calientes through the Andes — dramatic peaks, jungle valleys, pure cinematic views.

Optional stop at a local llama & alpaca sanctuary and Inca textile center to meet the animals and explore traditional crafts.

Afternoon walking tour of Cusco: Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Koricancha, ending in the bohemian streets of San Blas with time for dinner in the city’s top local spots.

Day 8

Inti Raymi Festival

As dawn breaks over Cusco, you step into streets already alive with anticipation. The city is waking to Inti Raymi, the ancient Inca celebration of the Sun God, and everything feels charged with meaning.

Dancers prepare their vibrant costumes with quiet focus, locals greet the day with excitement, and the city slowly transforms into a living celebration. You simply follow the rhythm—letting Cusco’s energy pull you through its streets, one moment at a time.

Day 9

Rainbow Mountain Expedition

Early morning, your expedition group sets off from Cusco with your local guide, heading deep into the southern Andes.

At Rainbow Mountain, you step into a surreal world of mineral colours and high-altitude silence. The landscape feels almost unreal—bold reds, golds, and greens stretching across the peaks—while the air is thin, crisp, and alive with that unmistakable Andean energy.

You explore with your group, moving through one of Peru’s most iconic natural wonders.

Day 10

Lima Arrival & City Highlights

Arrive in Lima early morning and settle into the rhythm of the city. In the afternoon, visit Huaca Pucllana for panoramic views of this ancient ceremonial site.

Continue to the historic center, exploring Plaza de Armas with its Cathedral, Government, and Archbishop’s Palaces. Then visit the San Francisco Convent and its famous catacombs.

End the day with ocean views at Parque del Amor and Larcomar.

Day 11

Paracas & Huacachina Adventure Day

Early morning departure from Lima towards Paracas. At 09:30, set sail from El Chaco port for a 2-hour boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, penguins, and rich birdlife.

Continue to Ica for a local wine and pisco experience, including a visit to a traditional winery and Rosalía workshop, before heading to the desert oasis of Huacachina.

Here, adrenaline takes over with dune buggy rides and sandboarding across vast desert landscapes. Return to Lima in the late afternoon.

Day 12

Departure from Lima, Peru

This morning marks the end of your Peru expedition. After an unforgettable journey together, it’s time to say goodbye to your group and guide.

Based on your flight schedule, your group leader will arrange a smooth local transfer to the airport, keeping everything simple and stress-free.

As you head home, the experience begins to settle in. You leave Peru with more than memories—carrying shared moments, new perspectives, and the quiet clarity that comes from stepping fully into the journey.
